National Carnival Update

29 Jun by Ben Hunter

Hi all

Only 90 days away from the National Carnival and as always things are starting to take shape. The Board have been busy closing the final details of what’s going on and just wanted to give you all an update as to where we currently sit.

Club Carnival Delegates

Please share this information with your players at the next club training session

Coaches

Will be announced in the next 24 hours, getting around to the last couple as we speak

Team numbers

We look to be in a strong position to fill the following sides as standalone teams right at this minute
Men’s 40’s, 45’s, 50’s and 55’s
Women’s 40’s and 45’s

The other age groups (Men’s 35’s & 60’s and Women’s 35’s) need big registration pushes to ensure we can fill sides, failing that we will look to create hybrid sides with another state as we have done so in the past. We need to keep driving registrations and over the next 2 weeks anyone thinking about going needs to register ASAP to ensure we have the number to commit to teams

Registration vouchers

To assist with the $500 registration cost we are trying desperately with the National office to produce vouchers, those that have had sponsors/donations made to cover costs we will advise you as soon as these vouchers are available.

Carnival Sponsors

If you know of a business who would be willing to help with the cost of getting everyone (and everything) to Darwin please let Kevin Rigg (treasurer@viccountrymasters.com) or myself know

The week’s events

Calendar will be loaded onto the website shortly, remembering games will be played on Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
Saturday nights gala will be at the Darwin Convention Centre, player registration include a ticket to the function (unfortunately we can’t reduce registration costs if you aren’t attending the function, it’s managed by the National office)
